VINTAGE

Cool, rainy winter months finally allowed the vines to bud at the beginning of April, more or less average for the season. The “arrears” of 2-3 weeks compared to 2012 however persisted throughout the year and could not be made up even in the very hot days of July and August. The grapes nevertheless began to ripen in 100% ideal conditions and harvesting of the first grapes began on 12 September. Cooler temperatures for the harvest and beautiful autumn weather then ensured healthy, ripe fruit. The red wines are very fruity in character, rich in finesse, with elegant tyearsns and a powerful structure.

VINIFICATION

Several hour cold maceration of the whole berries, spontaneous fermentation of the unclarified must in tonneaux (10 months maturing in the wood), on the fine lees with continuous stirring.

VINEYARD

South-facing slope situated at 350 meters above sea level, sun-graced slope with warm, well-drained, chalky gravel soils.

TASTING NOTES

– golden yellow with light green hues
– ripe aromas of fruit, pineapple, apricot, lychee, paired with fine,
toasty aromas
– full, rich and creamy on the palate with mineral undertones, lively
acidity on the finish

This wine is often enjoyed as an aperitif, or paired with appetizers and fish.
