With the 8th edition of the kunst.stück project, Cantina Kaltern launches its international label competition dedicated to the 2022 vintage.
Since 2014, each year a grape variety – or, as in this edition, a special cuvée – is selected for having particularly impressed the Kellermeister with its outstanding quality. The resulting wine is bottled in a limited edition and presented with an artistic label chosen through an open competition.
For 2022, the focus is on a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine is currently ageing in the cellar and will be released in October 2026 as Cabernet-Merlot Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2022.
We are looking for the artistic label that will define this edition.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are two internationally significant grape varieties, each defined by a distinct origin, identity and expressive strength. Brought together, their different qualities enter into dialogue, forming a balanced whole in which structure, depth and harmony come to the fore. This interplay between individuality and union lies at the heart of the theme “Strength in origin. United in harmony.” and invites artistic interpretation for the label.
The competition is open to artists and designers residing in the European Union and Switzerland.
