Details of the location

The vineyards are located on a steep south-western slope at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and grow on sandy-loamy, weathered porphyry soil.

From grape to wine

Vinification starts with whole-cluster pressing, followed by 8 hours of maceration and natural must clarification. This is followed by slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18 °C, followed by 6 months of ageing in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees.

The wine in the glass

− intense, luminescent yellow color
− fruity-aromatic nose of ripe peach, mango and coconut milk
− full-bodied on the palate with copious ripe fruit on the palate, juicy finish

The perfect accompaniment

Enjoy it as an aperitif, with light starters, summer salads, asparagus dishes, grilled fish, or with mild and creamy cheeses.

The origin of this wine

Kerner is a relatively young grape variety, bred in Germany in 1929 from a cross between Trollinger and Riesling. It was named after the Swabian poet Justinus Kerner. In Alto Adige, Kerner has been cultivated since the 1970s, mainly in higher-altitude vineyards where it reveals its freshness, aromatic character, and clear structure.
