With the 2014 vintage, Cantina Kaltern began a new tradition. Since then, the wine is vinified from the grape lot that already stood out at delivery for its exceptional quality in the eyes of the cellar master – a moment in which nature has, so to speak, achieved a true kunst.stück (literally, a “work of art”). Bottled in strictly limited quantities, this wine forms the core of the kunst.stück line.

Each vintage is accompanied by a specially created artist’s label. Artists and designers are invited to engage with a defined theme and interpret it visually; the winning label is selected through an online vote. In this way, every kunst.stück becomes a unique piece, shaped by the meeting of craftsmanship, vintage and creative vision.
