Details of the location

The vineyards are located on south- and east-facing slopes at 350 to 500 meters above sea level. Thanks to their breezy location, they are particularly suited for a later harvest. The soil consists mainly of loamy, sandy limestone gravel.

From grape to wine

Vinification starts with whole-cluster pressing, followed by natural must clarification. This is followed by slow fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18 °C. The wine is fermented in large wooden barrels, barriques and stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine ages for 6 months on the fine lees.

− brilliant straw-yellow color
− aromatic bouquet of tropical fruits, especially pineapple and banana; subtle notes of vanilla and melted butter
− full-bodied and balanced on the palate; long-lasting fruit flavor on the finish

The perfect accompaniment

This elegant Chardonnay pairs excellently with grilled fish, seafood, creamy pasta dishes and white meat. It also makes a great aperitif.

The origin of this wine

For a long time, no distinction was made between the Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay grape varieties, as they are virtually indistinguishable visually Chardonnay has been cultivated in Alto Adige for around 150 years and is one of the most important white wine varieties.
