The Bibenda wine guide published by FIS, the Italian Foundation of Sommeliers, is one of Italy’s most revered guides.
Each year, members of the Bibenda jury taste over 25,000 wines: fewer than 600 receive the top award of “5 Grappoli” (5 grape clusters).
This year the Kellerei Kaltern winery was doubly delighted, because two of its wines received this honour. Both the Solos Lagrein Riserva 2014 and the Passito Serenade 2013 scored more than 91 points out of a possible 100 and thus collected the “5 Grappoli” award.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on 19 November at the Hotel Cavalieri in Rome.
